What is AntiGravity?

AntiGravity® Fitness is the original aerial yoga and suspension fitness technique created by Christopher Harrison. After spending over 7 years on the development of the technique and the creation of the "silk hammock" apparatus, he launched the first classes in 2007 and a new genre was born. Christopher created very specific nomenclature and sequencing that can be done safely and is accessible across age, size, shape, and fitness level. His development of the "silk hammock" generated a completely new movement vocabulary, now adopted worldwide.

Aerial Yoga is more commonly heard terminology, which sometimes refers to a slower paced class, with poses and sequences more on par with a typical yoga class.  In a typical AntiGravity class, we will spend the majority of class in the hammock; in inversions, floating stretches, and playing with sequences to build up to climbs and flips.
